The Austin Congolese Association (A.C.A) is a global, community driven nonprofit dedicated to uniting, supporting, and empowering Congolese individuals, families, and other diaspora communities around the world. We help strengthen cultural ties, provide social support, and offer practical resources that enable our members and other communities to thrive wherever they are.

Our Story


ACA was founded by members of the Congolese diaspora who recognized the need for stronger support networks and deeper cultural connection. What began as a small initiative has grown into a vibrant, global community that welcomes newcomers, assists families in need, and promotes cultural understanding internationally.


Today, ACA collaborates with partners and organizations around the world to support communities, new arrivals, and families navigating life in new environments, to refugees families offering guidance, dignity, and encouragement at every step.


What We Do

We serve the community through programs and initiatives such as:

  • Support for new immigrants — orientation, guidance, and community integration
  • Assistance during hardship — help for families facing illness, emergencies, or financial challenges
  • Youth mentorship — educational support, leadership development, and positive role models
  • Cultural events — celebrations, gatherings, and activities that honor Congolese traditions
  • Community engagement — partnerships that strengthen our collective voice and impact
